Josh and a nice lady who’s name I didn’t catch stuck around after close waiting for me as i was coming some distance and had been delayed. They were waiting by the door watching for me and had my box of discontinued flooring waiting for me and even put it in my car for me. Great customer service!

I find that home depot has all the things that I need at reasonably good prices. And on occasion I have found things that I didn't even know were an option.

    3. My dad was visiting and bought a lawn chair for me at Home Depot, it was one of those zero gravity ones. Next day, I opened the box and noticed that a plastic part on the chair was snapped. I figured no problem, I had the receipt so I'll exchange it. Turned out they didn't have any more, I said ok, can I get my money back and I'll buy it across the road at Canadian Tire? They said sure but we can only return your money to same card t was purchased on... By now my dad was back home over two hours drive away. So they gave me $120 store credit, and I had to spend $120 at Canadian Tire for the chair.

They say "You can do it, we can help" except we can help part is tough to get at Home Depot, at least one in Woodstock.

    1. Bought door from them, turned out I had to get them trimmed by 1/4" to make them shorter, 5 second job on their saw, forget it, they wouldn't help.

I'd give less then one star if I could. Myself, I am a young guy, dirty work clothes, and work boots is my usual attire. I had gone into the store around 8:00 pm to buy some new gloves for work the next day. I had used the self check out, and on my way out was chased down by two of the employees requesting to see my receipt, Luckily I had it handy. But the feeling of being treated as a criminal for no reason was there.

    2. I purchased $1600 worth of building material for a project. Some lumber was extremely warped and I wouldn't be able to use it. I already went through all lumber in current bundle and asked to bring down second bundle so I could go through it. The guy was rude, he also said he is done work in 20 minutes and he doesn't want to get started with that, besides he said, lumber won't be much better in other bundles, it is what it is. I went elsewhere.

I typically dread going into this store as the customer service is lacking. I required some paint and had a few questions so I was not looking forward to this visit. Heather at the paint desk was awesome. She was knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions while acknowledging other customers in her department. It was just her! Other departments could really benefit from some training and guidance from Heather. Thanks.

Bottom line, Woodstock Home Depot has some of the worst staff I have ever encountered at any store, unfriendly and right down rude, lazy and unwilling to help without grumbling. And Home Depot also has some dumb return policies that don't make things easier.
